Dr. Fine has over 25 years of medical device industry experience and is the co-founder of two successful medical device companies, Cybro Medical and OrSense. Dr. Fine’s impressive track record includes development and invention of variety of non-invasive novel medical devices like the fetal and adult reflection pulse oximeter (currently used in the market), non-invasive hemoglobin measuring device (currently in the market), non-invasive methods for blood pressure monitoring, pulse rate measurement, coagulativety of blood and others. In recent years, Dr. Fine developed the mDLS technology, a new way for blood flow monitoring. mDLS technology offers an innovative solution for blood coagulation monitoring, blood flow visualization and other blood parameters monitoring. Dr. Fine holds more than 40 patents in the fields of non-invasive measurements of SPO2, hemoglobin, glucose, RBC aggregation, blood flow, and more.
Prof. Shenkman is a Professor of Medicine at Tel Aviv University; Specialist, Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. He also serves as the coordinator of the FP7 European Union-funded SaveMe Project – A novel nano-technological platform for pancreatic cancer diagnosis and therapy (FP7-NMP-2009- LARGE-3). He was the former chairman of medicine, Meir Hospital, Kfar Saba, and Program Director, New York State/American Program of the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, and he is the author of over 130 peer-reviewed articles. Prof. Shenkman brings to Elfi-Tech his vast experience in internal medicine including large population of patients on blood-thinning therapy and patients with various coagulation disorders.
Mr. Hirschman has over 40 years of experience as a CPA with major multinational companies in the U.S. and Israel, primarily in hi-tech. He has recently served as CFO of two medical device companies. Mr. Hirschman holds a B.A. in Accounting and a CPA license from the State of New York.
Dr. Alexander Kaminsky, PhD, Senior Physicist, Optical Division
Dr. Kaminsky is a senior physicist at Elfi-Tech with close to 30 years of experience in the field of laser physics and optics. He’s published more than 30 scientific articles in the field of laser chemistry, isotopes separation, electronics, laser technologies in biosensors.
Alexander Torres, VP R&D
Alex Torres has over 30 years of electronic development and manufacturing experience, in the medical, audio and power supply areas. Mr. Torres was involved in the development of pulse meters for Heart Rate Variability and pulse-oximeters for SPO2 at the end of 80th, then computer based ECG/EEG systems in early 90th. After several years in other fields, he has returned to the medical systems. Alex is an author and architecture of the hardware and firmware in Elfi-Tech and now holds the position of VP R&D.
Dr. Ori Braitbart, VP Product & Business Development
Dr. Braitbart has over 25 years of experience in advanced optical devices for Semiconductors & Life Sciences industries. Ori is the co-founder of Bioaxial, an innovative optical microscopy company for Life Sciences, he was the CEO of several startups in Israel and abroad. Prior to these executive positions Ori held several management positions at Nova Measuring Instruments (NASDAQ: NVMI), engineering positions at Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) and licensing officer position at Yissum, the Tech Transfer company of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Ori has a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (HUJ).
Dr. Adi Bar-Noam, Data Scientist
Dr. Bar-Noam is a senior Biomedical Engineer, researcher and project director at Elfi-tech with 7 years of experience in the field of bio-photonics and digital signal processing. Adi is researching and developing unique tools for the detection of various medical conditions, such as pain, vasculature disease, sepsis, and more. Adi brings vast experience in the design and development of novel imaging systems for non-invasive control and monitoring of neurological activity in the visual system. Adi holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology – Technion.
Albert Bravo, Senior Algorithm Engineer
Albert Bravo graduated BS at the EE IIT (Technion – magna cumme laude) in Haifa and studied his MS in TAU Tel Aviv. Albert brings 10 years of experience in Signal Processing, Physiological Signal Monitoring and Machine Learning. Previous to Elfi-Tech, Albert had the role of Algorithm team leader at IDesia Biometrics (acquired by Intel). For the last three years he is active as a SW/Algorithms consultant in the Healthcare industry.
